One hard push over a weekend does not make a sustainable business, but a good bout of spring cleaning can help you kick off a healthy business that will last for months and even years to come!

Step 1: Get Your Mind Right

What’s your overall goal? And…  more importantly, WHY are you going to work at this every day to meet your goal? That means it’s time to clean out the those efforts that are not producing results and clean up your shopping list. Step 3: Get Moving

So, find ways of connecting with people that are in need or are looking for what you’ve got.  Look for things that fits into your schedule, fulfill you, and that you don’t keep making excuses to cancel.  Find ways of producing prospect that you will actually do and DO them.

Step 4: Articulate and SHARE Your Goals

One of the best ways to reach your goals is to make them SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely). “make more money” or “grow your business” are goals that are too vague. How do you know if you’ve succeeded? Once you’ve identified the specific business goals that you want to achieve, make sure they’re SMART.  Then… it’s time to share them. Though it may be tempting to keep your journey to yourself until you’ve completed it, successful entrepreneurs say you should share early and often.  You’re only keeping them a secret if they are not sincere.

5 Ways To Protect Your Small Business From Fraud

1.  Put all sales through your company provided website. Legitimate buyers understand that you want to help them get the products that they are looking for and are happy to take your advise and shop directly on your company provided website.

get paid first2.  Obtain a buyers name, telephone number and mailing address, before you transact business. Some con artists give out false names, telephone numbers, addresses, and other info. Verify the accuracy of these things by ‘googling” those persons that you do not already know.

3.  Before you send any products, get the payment.  NEVER send the product first.   Legitimate retail business owners, like yourself,  ALWAYS get paid first.  You are not in the service industry.  Think about your company.  They sell retail products, just like the brick and mortar shops and stores that you walk in to everyday. Would they ever send you product first and then wait for you to pay them?  NO NEVER!  Before you send products, ask yourself a simple question. “What guarantee do I really have that this person will send money in the manner we agreed upon?”

4.  Don’t take risks when a new buyer entices you by offering to help you grow your business.  Always take your time making a decision. Legitimate business partners won’t pressure you to make a snap decision.

5.  If you are trading’ or ‘swapping’ meet in person and make the exchange at the same time.  NEVER be the first and wait for your part of the bargain to arrive latter.  Authentic buyer will understand and respect your need safe transaction.

Who are the REAL Direct Sales Winners?  

Certainly the company owners are successful   Or not…  many Direct Sales companies fail in the first 2 years because of poor planning,  but for those that do survive the ‘terrible’ two’s’, yes, their planning pays off and they reap the rewards of residual income.  They also will have brought in a few key ‘master distributor’ or ‘founders’.  These folk, if they stuck with it through the launch stage, will be starting to get pay back in full.  So, yup, they are winners.  

Who else wins it in Direct Sales?  Is there any Real Money left to be made , if you weren’t there right in the beginning?  

ABSOLUTELY!  

It used to be that companies reserved about 50% of their total payout for the top 2% , but recently, companies have been taking a new approach to the age old problem of retention   Early payouts for top recruiters are now attracting big hitters to jump in and they are not just jumping from company to company.  Todays newbies are coming from other industries.  The economy may be partly to blame.  With fewer high-end sales positions available, many uniquely quailed sales reps have had to think less traditional and have turned to Direct Sales.  These rising stars are WINNING BIG, with companies offering new bonus as big as $3,000 to $300,000 in your first 3 months.

That kind of cash is attractive and professional sales reps are taking notice.  Direct Sales stereo types are a thing of the past.  Todays top earners, the REAL Winners are Reps with ‘play to win-win’ philosophy.

They respect, and always try to satisfy, the best interests of their prospects.  Knowing that a win for the client means a win for them too. They are also extremely dedicated to becoming top performers.  They have often times been in the position before and they have a won’t settle attitude, exhibiting the hustle, passion, and intensity it takes to achieve what only the elite achieve.

Winner Do.  They just do.  They do the work.  They look for opportunity and they make things happen.  Anyone can be a Direct Sales Winner.  Companies have heard the request and are now rewarding ‘The New Kid”.  Getting some of the action has never been easier!  It’s a great time for Direct Sales!

If you considered yourself a “bigger thinker,” then you are now ready for the unthinkable in business.  It’s time to prove yourself and turn those big ideas into really big action steps and take them.

Think you can’t do it???  Good, because often that is when BIG thinkers do their best thinking – when it’s do or die!  Being up against a hurtle can actually be a good thing for Big Thinker, because it allows you the opportunity to demonstrate the kind of entrepreneur you really are in your business.
