Do Something You Love

We all have products or services that we LOVE. Maybe you love fashion, fitness, home decor or gourmet meals. Whatever it is, you love it so much that you share it with every one you meet and that passion has turned into a business.

Now you get to do what you love and make money at the same time. You are one of the luck few and you get to make your own rules!

But… we are living in crazy times. Everything has been upended because of Covid-19. Today, many of us are staying at home. Maybe that could be good for your home based business.

Question: How can you take a passion and build a business from home?

Answer: Tell the world about what you love.

Most companies provide their reps with a website. That’s the funnel where you want to ultimately send the people that are interested in what you’ve got, but you’ll need a bigger funnel to get them there. There are many ways to share your knowledge with the world and more is definitely better. Maybe you have a facebook page or a email list, but that is NOT enough. It’s time to start that youtube channel, a Pinterest post and maybe a blog that you’ve been thinking about, any place where you can share your unique story.

When you’re doing something you love, your story comes naturally.

Starting your business probably wasn’t your plan when you first joined the company you represent, but when you believe in something and you know it well, it’s easy to love doing it!  Look for new ways to stand out and share your story with the world. That’s exactly what everyone who has made it did, and they started just like you with something they felt passionate about and a story. You can too, if you don’t know where to start watch them, look at what they are doing and then build from their ideas and make something of your own.

What Will You Post On Your Soap Box?

How’s business? Sometimes, in the summer, sales for Direct Sales Reps start to slump and during a pandemic it can get even harder. So, today, your FindSalesRep Support Team was racking their brains, trying to figure out what people are spending their money on during this summer besides masks, toilet paper and outdoor things to keep their families entertained.

Browsing pinterest told us that people are spending a lot of time and money looking at kitchen, food and diet stuff  https://www.pinterest.com/topics/popular  Does your company have products that can help people take care of themselves, feed their families and maximise their health?  If so, it’s time to POST to Your FindSalesRep WALL!

Where’s Your WALL? YOUR FSR WALL is YOURS and you should Login to Your Listing at FindSalesRep.com and look for the “Post to Your Wall” link. Your post will be shown on our home page, plus we pin your posts to our Pinterest “FindSalesRep Wall Posts” board.

Consider it your own personal soap box. A place where you can share EVERYTHING you love about your company and the products you can’t live without. Yup, it’s all about you and it can help you Get Found.

Listings with more wall posts get more visitors and thus have the potential to make you more sales. So, start now, adding Pictures, Descriptions and KEYWORDS to YOUR FSR WALL!  On Your Wall, let people know what you have in stock, about new products or about sales or special offers. Tell them what they need to know about you, your company and your products by using keywords that will lead them straight to you.  Then, show them before and after photos or pictures from a new catalogue. Pictures say a thousand words. Share them!

What do you want to share with the World?  Here are some ideas:

  • Post about your favorite products.
  • New product images with descriptions of the products benefits, or why you like the product.
  • Updates about your company’s business opportunity and compensation plan.
  • Inspirational quotes and images.
  • Product and Opportunity Videos (use the “Link” button to post YouTube video links).
  • Business Tips for Other Network Marketers
  • Links to any Articles you’ve written, or articles you like.
  • Pictures of you using your favorite products.

THEN… if you want to take it to the next level, here’s a great tip. Once you make a post, you can click to view just that post. Then… click the Pinterest share button – that way you get exposure on Pinterest and Pinterest also links back to your posting on your FindSalesRep Wall! So really, this is a Twofer Tip and can help you Get Found!

You can also share the same link on Facebook, twitter, etc. This is great because it gives you one place to link to from all of your social networks (so you can post once, and share everywhere).

Fairs, expos, conventions, exhibits and trade shows are a great way to reach your target niche audience

How do you find Vendor events/expos/opportunities where you can share your products with TONS of New People?

Not everyone markets their Home Business this way but Fairs, Expos, Conventions, Exhibits and Trade Shows are a great way to reach your target niche audience and also a fantastic way to demonstrate your items, talk face to face with prospects and create Immediate Cash Sales! 

So, We Asked A Few EXPO EXPERTS, that know how to rock the trade show world to share a few tips that will HELP YOU get in front an ideal audience!

  Heather Nickless To find them, I focus on what I am wanting to find. Bridal events are perfect for my product so I search for local bridal expos. It’s completely different than craft fairs. More people are willing to spend extra time at your booth and your marketing has to be definitely different. Where as with craft fairs, your focusing on the product, bridal events are more like what you can do for the bride, how you can help their wedding day and so forth.

  Emily Rios Sanchez I love doing shows. I have products that are popular with Avon Customers and sell those items. When doing shows, also talk to other vendors around you. You get great ideas from them. Raise your display tables high where a customer can see it at eye level. I use the bed risers from walmart.

  Kelly McKenzie I am a Military wife and I do events that usually consist of other military wives but not limited to only military wives. I always give out Avon samples with our brochures. I talk to everyone that comes by my booth and I always bring items that I can get at a good price so they dont have to pay much. I always decorate my table so it is appealing to the eye. I try to go with a holiday theme close to that date ie. v day, easter, halloween stuff like that or by the season. I always let people sample perfumes. I have a basket of goodies giveaway to get contact info. I use square so I can accept credits cards easily at a event so the customer has a easy payment option. I make sure to give out my business card with my info and sing up info on it. I usually do any event where I think women will be since Avon is more for women. I have done fairs, expos and conventions. Also get to know the other vendors cause that is how you can get more event on your schedule. Vendors usually stick together and help each other out by sharing event info,dates and such.

  Kina Oneal I generally search for local events, festivals and such most importantly health fairs and events to showcase Plexus Slim and share information, testimonials including my own of how these awesome products have improved my health and business opportunity have increased my wealth. Also have samples available so that interested parties can taste the drink first hand. I make available the 3 day trial packs for those that are skeptical but want try. People are having a hard time believing that there is a product that can help you lose weight without changing your eating habits and/or exercising it. I’m a walking testimony, I’ve lost 51lbs without doing either! When they see my pics and pics of others that are displayed…the become amazed and excited.

My purpose for doing events is to at least let others know there is an option that could work for them…..and possibly change their life as mine have changed. I’m so grateful and want to partake in as many events as possible to make a difference in somebody else’s life. I hand out brochures that include photos, business cards, offer chances to win prizes. I also connect with other vendors to see how we can help and/or work together including keeping each other informed of upcoming events. Events are a great way to reach a larger audience at once. 🙂

  Jean Ferraro- Young I have become a member of several womens business groups–Amazing women who do help each other. I have done various vendor events, which I have found on FB or through my contacts. I try to do a theme–holiday or special occasion with my presentation on my table. I will say the sales are not always the greatest, or would I would want them to be. I give out samples–have offered specials and always have a raffle, which does get me some names for future contacts. The vendor events do give me a great opportunity to meet other business women, who I have established friendships with and have open other doors for business opportunities.

  Shad A Drury Call the companies corporate offices and tell them what area you are in and if they provide leads they will forward your information along to their reps. If not, they will give you some names of reps in your area. The key is networking networking and more networking.
